Transaction Refunds

Refunds requested by customers must be processed under merchant refund policies. iPayu facilitates these refunds after careful verification.

Service Fees

Platform service fees are non-refundable, except where mandated by law or in cases of demonstrable service failures.

Account Cancellation

Accounts may be cancelled with 30 calendar days prior written notice. Final settlements will be made within 7 business days after account closure.

Transaction Refunds

Customer-Initiated Refunds

Refund requests initiated by customers will be processed by merchants directly according to their refund policy. iPayu assists in communicating and facilitating refunds after merchant approval.

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment instrument.
  • Refund processing typically takes 5-7 business days, depending on payment method and bank processing times.
  • Refund fees or charges may apply as per merchant policies.

  • • UPI and Wallets: 1-2 business days
Traditional Methods
  • • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-7 business days
  • • Net Banking: 3-5 business days

Service Fee Refunds

Non-Refundable Fees

Platform service fees are generally non-refundable except where legally required or in cases of clearly proven service failure.

  • Transaction processing fees charged by payment gateways
  • Payment gateway and banking charges
  • Any taxes or levies imposed by government authorities
  • Service and maintenance fees

Refundable Scenarios

We may issue refunds or credits in cases including but not limited to:

  • Service downtime resulting in transaction failures
  • Technical or system errors causing duplicate charges
  • Extended outages negatively impacting merchant services
  • Billing errors on the part of iPayu

Account Cancellation

Voluntary Cancellation

Account holders may cancel their iPayu account by submitting a cancellation request and providing at least 30 calendar days' written notice.

  • Complete all pending transactions and resolve disputes prior to cancellation
  • Download or backup your transaction data and reports
  • Finalize payout instructions for outstanding balances
  • Following cancellation, iPayu will retain your data as required by applicable laws and our Privacy Policy

Please note: You remain liable for any chargebacks or disputes arising within 180 days post account closure.
